"Bigfoot the Big Fun"

Films: Harry and the Hendersons (1987)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Forest/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Good

Summary: Most cryptid sightings in movies don't end well for those close enough to see them. But then along comes that film that makes them out to be pretty swell creatures after all. Just don't expect them to be civilized.

History: Somewhere in the forests near Seattle, the Henderson family just accidentally ran over what is undoubtfully a Sasquatch. They bring it home for profit, only to find that the beast is alive, unendingly curious, and rather reluctant to stay. Soon, the whole town is engulfed in Sasquatch-related hysteria, and the family has to make sure Harry doesn't meet an early grave at the hands of an obsessed hunter.

Notable Kills: None.

Final Fate: After some tumultuous hijinks, Harry and his friends manage to evade the hunter, and make it back to the forest. There, a whole group of Sasquatch greet their lost comrade, and Harry happily rejoins them.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2-Harry is pretty strong, and his smile can be a bit off-putting. Aside from that, he's actually very timid, and actually tries not to harm anyone if he can. He's pretty much a five-year old in a big ape's body.

Trivia: -Special effects artist Rick Baker claims that Harry was the monster he had the most fun designing.

-The intimidating artist's interpretation of Harry in the film was actually Rick Baker's original draft for his design.

So, science is bad? Honestly, find some balance.

Wait, he has square shoulders? Odd biology choice.

The most adorable case of possible vehicular manslaughter.
He just saw a few of the entries in this decade.

That big scamp! Eating all their resources!

So heartwarming that-OH GOD, HE'S BREAKING IN!

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was promotional material for the next Boggy Creek movie.

"What do you mean you're going to 'get that animal'?"

You're good and all, but fix the dental plan.
